Wayne Dunn Obituary

Gary Wayne Dunn, 75, of Glen Burnie, Maryland, passed away on January 6, 2023 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Wayne was born on November 2, 1947 to Joseph and Alice Dunn in Oella, Maryland. After attending Lansdowne High School, he went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1968 where he achieved the rank of E-3 Seaman as a Coxswain onboard the USS Francis Marion. For his service, he received a National Defense Service Medal. 

After his service, he began his 35 year career as a commercial truck driver, where he was primarily a dump truck operator. He was highly respected by clients and peers for his dedication to the profession and was known by the CB handle "Mask Man."

In 1975, he met Beverley (Reynolds) Dunn and they wed on September 11, 1977, going on to have four children, Adam, Ryan, Matthew and Nolan.

After retiring in 2005, Wayne enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was also an exceptionally talented artist and was well known for his ability as a calligrapher. 

Wayne was predeceased by his parents, his brother Boyd, his sisters Sharon and Barbara Anne and his grandson Dayden. He is survived by his wife Beverley Dunn; his sister Sheila (Dunn) Martin; his four children, Adam Dunn and wife Christine, Ryan Dunn, Matthew Dunn and wife Amanda and Nolan Dunn and wife Kristina; and his six grandchildren, Irelynn, Cassidy, Shayne, Seth, Sullivan and Gloria.
