Suddenly and sadly, on February 7, 2020, the sun set for Michelle Lynn Whitney. She was just 27.
Born in Linthicum, the daughter of Michael Joseph and Theresa (nee Smith) Hammel, she would spend the greater portion of her life there, moving to Dundalk December 1, 2018.
In her early years Michelle was an amazing cheerleader. In fact she cheered for the Andover Apaches Cheer Squad and continued throughout her high school years at North County High School where she had great success and made many lasting friendships.
Michelle was an aspiring Cosmetologist who enjoyed following makeup tutorials and loved her music. She was a consumer of social media and lived on her phone. Her deepest devotion though was being a mother and a wife. Her son Jackson was her world and she loved him very much.
Surviving Michelle is her dear husband of 5 years Richard "Rick" V. Whitney, her beloved son Jackson Tanner Whitney as well as her loving sister, Dana Boritz and husband Tim. She will be missed by her in-laws, Richard and Sharon (nee Rippert) Whitney, brother-in-law Chris Whitney and spouse Jody and sister-in-law Juliann and husband Matt Parker . Michelle will be fondly remembered by her uncles, Danny Smith and Rick Van Fossen, his wife Kate and family. Her memory will be cherished by her beloved nieces and nephews, Issak, Aryela, Nikolai, Arthur and Fiona, Chance, Bella, Lindsay and Trent.. Cousins Mike and wife Becky Smith and their children, Marc Smith and his daughter and Gary Smith mourn the loss as do Michelle's very dear friends Emmy Alascio, Ashley (Eichelberger) White, Kristen Menefee, Hannah Dages and many, many others.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations in Michelles' memory be made at, fv.church/whitneyfam for her son Jackson.
