On October 7, 2020, Mary Margaret Knight, (nee Holt) known affectionately as "Mom-Mom," passed surrounded by her loving family. She was 82.
Born the daughter of Oliver B,. and Mayme (nee Probst) Holt in Annapolis she would later come to live in the Glen Burnie area for 57 years.
Mary is the dear wife of the late Raymond Howard Knight who at the time of his passing enjoyed 51 years of marriage. During those years Mary raised a family and also worked outside of the home as a Manager for various retail businesses throughout Glen Burnie. In her leisure, she enjoyed camping with family and was famous for her saying, "Tell me when and where and I'll be there." Her hobbies also included reading novels and her daily newspaper and crochet. Mary made many lovely afghans for her family and friends that will be enjoyed for years to come. Mary was also a lover of animals.
Surviving Mary is her beloved daughter Carol M. and husband Michael R. Sluka. She joins her late son William R Knight, Sr. (2011) in passing.
Her memory will be cherished by her devoted grandchildren William R. Jr., and wife Hayley, Melissa Rogers and husband Larry, Tara Lincoln and significant other Christopher Scott and Courtney Lehnert and husband Will. Mary's loving great-grandchildren, Cynthia, Erin, Trenton, Blane, Aiden and Ella will deeply mourn her absence. Her presence will be missed by her cat "AC," while she is reunited with her dogs "Midi" and "Sissy" and cat "Bunny."
