On September, 1, 2021, Mary H. Kagan, (nee' Cremer) went home to be with the Lord. She was 79.
Born in Hanover, Pa., she was the daughter of Charles and Helen (nee' Kimple) Cremer. She would ultimately move to Maryland to attend the Johns Hopkins School of Radiology.
During her vocation training she met the love of her life Richard Kagan, also a radiology technician. This chance meeting would culminate in a 54 year marriage and the creation of a beautiful legacy.
Following her certification as an X-Ray Technician, Mary had an amazing career that spanned 45 years at St. Agnes Hospital. She truly enjoyed her work and caring for the patients that she met. When Mary was free she pursued her athletic interest in Tennis. She was very skilled. She played for the Greater Washington Tennis Association and the Andover Recreation Club and was a ranked player. She also liked to spend time at her vacation property in Ocean Pines and though her husband wished to retire down the shore, she could not break with the many friends she had in Ferndale. She loved people, all people. Mary was also a neighborhood icon, faithfully walking the streets of her community with her friends.
All in all Mary was a devoted Christian, loving wife and a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving her are her dear children Christine Peterson and Jennifer Hardy and husband John. She will be cherished in the memories of her grandchildren, Joseph and Cara Hardy, Jessica Stefaniak and Steven Halpern. Her legacy continues with 5 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her loving sister Margaret Gebhart and joins in passing her beloved sister Ann Coe.
