Marie Housley Obituary

Regrettably, we announce the passing of Marie Mary Housley,"Honey," (nee Schmedes).  She was 87.

Born the daughter of Henry and Lillian Schmedes in Baltimore, she would meet and marry the love of her life Virgil, E. Housley and settle in Glen Burnie.  Their marriage would last the fullness of 73 years.

"Honey" was a devout Catholic and practiced her faith as a member of the St. Philip Neri Church community.  Her vocation was found in the assembly of avionics systems for various areospace firms spanning 25 years.  She ultimately retired from Westinghouse Corporation in 1995.  Honey enjoyed taking trips and enjoyed traveling and spending time in Florida.  She was adventurous and would enjoy camping in the mountains of Western Maryland where she would spend many long holidays and vacations with her dear Virgil and family. She also enjoyed simply taking a drive and seeing the sites and people around town.  In the end she really was a homebody and was happy to spend leisure time with her loved ones.  Honey was a devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother.

Honey is survived by her beloved Husband Virgil as well as her devoted daughter Karen Beall and husband "Matt."  She joins her sons Kevin and Kieth Housley once more, in the presence of the Lord.

She will be deeply missed by her cherished grandchildren, Christina Beal, Michael Beal and wife Rachel, Jason Beal and spouse Jenna and Angel L. Housley.  Her legacy continues in 6 great-grandchildren.

Finally, Honey is the last of the Schmedes siblings, a total of six brothers and sisters.

She will be sorely missed......
