Sadly, on April 13, 2022, JoAnn Marie Smith (nee Green) passed in a tragic accident. She was 75.
Born the daughter of Vernon C. and Cordelia M. Green (nee Stinson) she grew up in Baltimore and lived the balance of her days in the Millersville/Severn area.
JoAnn was a graduate of Edmondson High School and a retired employee of the Maryland Department of Transportation where she worked as a Toll Facilities Operator. Following retirement, JoAnn was able to make a once in a lifetime trip to Graceland to visit the home of her beloved, Elvis Presley. She loved eating crabs and was a crochet enthusiast who made blankets, dresses and booties for family and friends. She also enjoyed pottery crafting and was an avid Ravens football fan. JoAnn also enjoyed watching the "ID" channel and other forensic and crime programs. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
JoAnn will be fondly remembered by her dear brother, Joseph Green and his wife Paula and her dear daughters, Dawn Grisham and husband Mark, Jacqueline Christopher and husband Wade and Valerie Jones and husband Jason. She will be deeply missed by her devoted son Vernon Moyer and wife Audrey. JoAnn will be forever cherished in the memories of her grandchildren, Steven Grisham, Sara Partyka, James Grisham, Eric Christopher, Zachary Beverley and Theseus and Alec Jones. Her legacy will continue in 6 great grandchildren.
