It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of James Peter Roberts, known to those who love him as "Jamie."  He was just 48 years old.

Born in Washington D.C., he is the son of Judith Louise (nee Saxon) and the late Arthur Young Roberts.  He spent many years in Greenbelt and eventually would live in Glen Burnie and finally Severna Park.  He had an Associates Degree in Communication Arts and Photography.  He used his skills and talents to run his own photography business for 15 years. Jamie then became a printer, by trade, working at various shops that produced signs and banners, ultimately working for Harbour Signs in Baltimore, until his retirement due to illness.  In his leisure, Jamie enjoyed BMX and assisting as a coach for his daughters' softball team, the "Lady Seminoles" also know as, the "Mud Dawgs."  He enjoyed playing and watching golf and enjoyed membership in the MoPar Charger Club of Southern Maryland, a car club for Dodge Charger enthusiast.  Jamie also had a love for animals and was known for picking up strays and caring for them.  He loved music and was the base player in the band, "Haymaker" for a number of years.  Finally but most importantly, Jamie was a devoted father, loving son and dear friend.
