Irvin Adams Obituary

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Irvin Howard Adams, "Bunky," who passed in the sure and certain hope of being with his Lord and Saviour.

Born 86 years before to Elijah and Ida nee Kisser, he spent the entirety of his life in the Glen Burnie area.

A proud veteran, "Bunk" served in the U.S. Navy as a Seaman 3rd class serving aboard the auxillary oiler, USS> Albany during the Korean War.  For his service he earned the Navy Occupation Medal.

He is the dear husband for "50" years of Rosalie nee Napier.  He knew from the first that he would marry her and so happy together they have been these many years.  "Bunky" supported his family as a member of the Teamsters #557, driving trucks for Preston trucking.  When his health turned, he worked as a bus driver for Edwards Bus Service, finally retiring in 2007.

A man of strong convictions, he loved the Lord and his church, Pasadena Seventh Day Adventists which meant the world to him.  When "Bunk" wasn't traveling and camping up and down the east coast as well as the west and as far north as Canada with his devoted wife, he spent time creating and maintaining his 1950's themed den.  He was very proud of it and he would show it off to anyone who had an interest.  He enjoyed antique cars, especially Cadillacs, but the Plymouth was his favorite by far.  "Bunky" was truly "lost in the 50's....."

Surviving him are his blended family that he called his own;  His sons Ray Donechy and wife Jenny, Walt Roed and spouse Jan and Delbert Limes as well as daughters Diane Seyferth and husband Joe and Vicki Bowen and spouse Paul.  He was very close to his neice who he considered a daughter, Carole Foley and her husband Bob.

"Bunky" is survived by 5 grandchildren including, Piper and Zachary Foley, Drew Perry and Anthony and Chelsea Slagter.  He also leaves 3 great-grandchildren, Jocelyn Simmons, Brayden Kiernan and Reagan Smith.

He is preceded in death by 8 siblings of which he is the last.

Donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Childrens' Hospital at stjude.org
