On September 22, 2022, Howard D. Allred passed in the company of his loving family. He was 89.
Born in Greensboro, North Carolina to Guerney Levi and Lela (nee Mikels) Allred he would come to live in Maryland in 1951.
Howard was a Boilermaker with the Steamfitters Union for many years finally retiring in 1983.
He was a combat veteran of the Korean War. Just before deploying to the warzone he married his sweetheart Patricia (nee Mullins) and their marriage would last a full 60 years before her passing.
Howard liked to tinker and fix up old cars, enjoyed fishing with his cousin and hunting when he was younger. As he got older he liked to watch the animals rather than hunt. While his wife was living they traveled all over the country.
Surviving him is his dear daughter Kimberly Allred-Wolf and husband Bennett and his loving son Steven D. Allred and partner Sue Wilgis. Howard joins his late son, Randall C. Allred in passing. He is the youngest and last of his siblings, ten in all. Howard will be cherished in the memories of his beloved grandchildren, Daniel and Sherri Allred. His legacy will live on in his devoted great grandchildren Scott and Autumn Allred.
