Sadly, on August 4, 2022, Dominga Amelia Figueroa (nee Blanquicet Sanchez) passed in the presence of her loving family. She was 65.
Dominga was born the daughter of Jose Domingo Blanquicet and Brigida Sanchez in Colon, Panama, where she would spend her youth. At the age of 18 she met and married her dear husband Arcadio Figueroa (late 2003) who was stationed there with the United States military. Together they would travel from duty station to duty station. Dominga raised a family an kept home during these years. When her children were grown, she took work outside of the home as a Book Binder, which she did for over two decades. In her leisure, Dominga loved to dance and go to clubs. She loved shoes and had "shopping issues" which she passed along to her family. Dominga also liked to sew and complete puzzles and was an amazing cook. Her greatest love was her grandchildren and she was proudly awaiting the arrival of her first great grandchild.
Surviving Dominga is her devoted daughters Joyce Figueroa and fiance, Amy Figueroa, Noemi Norsworthy and husband Jacob and her loving son Edgar Figueroa and fiance Tangelia Templeton. Kelli Chavez, who was like a daughter to Dominga, will deeply miss her. She will be cherished in the memories of her grandchildren, Roslyn and Xavier Figueroa, Kora Figueroa, Aalyiah Templeton, Alyssa Madigan and husband Craig, Maya Jarrells, Angelo and Alejandro Archibald, Emma Madden and Kaelyn and Jacob Norsworthy. Her siblings, Yolanda Thillet, Linda Blanquicet and Nedelka and Lizzie Nunez will mourn the loss. Dominga is reunited in passing with her sister Eva Blanquicet, her mother and her loving husband.
