On May 5, 2022, Betty Margaret Willey 87 of Glen Burnie passed.
Born the daughter of Herbert Franklin Ridgell and Gertrude Susan (nee Mullen) in Baltimore she would spend most of her life in Anne Arundel County.
Betty was a two time retiree of the Amports Authority in Curtis Bay Fairfield. Following her first retirement, she found that she missed her work and returned to her job for many more years, into her 70's. While her husband was living she traveled the country with him and enjoyed trips with her family following his passing; She really "liked to go." Betty was fond of crocheting and made many blankets for family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She loved to go to casinos and play the slot machines particularly the Pirate games. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
Betty is reunited in passing with her husband of 44 years, Norman Harold Willey. She is survived by her beloved son and four daughters, Neal Willey and wife Susan, Melinda Irons and husband John, Barbara Harrington, Valerie Walter and husband Fred, Sr., and Joyce Mickley and husband Greg. She will be missed by her loving son and daughters. Her legacy continues with 12 grand, 22 great grand and 2 great-great grandchildren.
