Obituary

William "Butch" C. Kneller, age 74, passed away on March 13, 2014.  He was the dear brother of LeRoy "Spike"and his wife, Karen and Phillip "Flip" and his wife, Jane Kneller, loving uncle and great uncle of Stephanie Kneller, Shelly & George Ellenberger, Vince & Sandy Janowich, Scott & Julie Kneller, Kevin Kneller, Mark & Janie Kneller , Jordan & John Mack, Greg and Emily Kneller, Eric Kneller and Grace Kneller. Butch was a lifelong resident of Severn, MD.  He graduated from Arundel High School in 1958.He was employed by National Plastics where he worked for 25 years before retiring.  He was hired in 1981 and started as an assembly person for Hula Hoops and worked his way through the ranks to Lab Tech.  He was a student of history and psychology.  His passion was writing a book on the History of Custer's Last Stand. He put years of effort and research into the specific details, making sure his facts were accurate.  He was a single engine pilot and liked to fly.  He also loved riding and owned his own horse.  He enjoyed hunting and athletics, including tennis and golf and played semi pro baseball of the Gambrills Athletic Association. Butch was very competitive and played on dart and pool leagues around AACO.  He was proud of his collection of Springfield antique firearms.
