On June 1, 2022, Viola Goldie Angel (nee' Meade) "Geebs," passed after an acute illness.  She was 92.

Born and raised the daughter of Jimmie (nee' Wright) Meade and  her step father Orbe, she grew up in Shady Valley, Tennessee, on a farm.  During a visit to Maryland with a cousin, Viola would meet her future husband Phillip Angel (late 1997).  They would come to live back home in Tennessee but eventually found their way back to Maryland in the late 1950's,  where she would spend the balance of her life.  "Geebs" was a homemaker who like to embroider and enjoyed crossword puzzles and jig saw puzzles.

She is survived by her loving daughter Freida Northrop and husband Robert as well as her devoted daughter-in-law Carolyn Angle who cared for her many years.  Viola joins in passing her dear children, Phillip, Jr., Richard, Joseph and Patricia Angel.  She will be cherished in the memories of her grandchildren Lena Breland, Charles and Robert Northrop, Jr., Nicholas Angel, Ashley Lewis, Joseph White, Richard Angel, II, Lauren Hairsine, Melissa Corkran and Joseph Angel, II.  Her legacy continues in 18 great-grandchildren.
