Victoria Nicole "Nikki" Simmons, also lovingly known to close friends as "Vikki", age 24, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014. She was the dear daughter of  Julie Hansen and Chuck  and  Louise LaPorte, beloved sister of John M. Mizell,  devoted cousin of Zachary, Cooper and "big sister", Sydney, "big brother" Paul LaPorte and his wife, Dawn. Nikki attended AACC where she studied the Medical Terminology Program.  She enjoyed country music, making jewelry and collecting seashells.  She had a special affection for animals, especially sea turtles which she enjoyed watching them hatch each year at the beach with her family.  She also had a fondness for rabbits and cats.  She was an accomplished artist and loved candles.  Nikki marched to the beat of her own drum.  She was eclectic and a very unique individual.  She looked forward to vacations, holidays and camping with her family, and loved spoiling the children.  She and her Uncle Chuck also shared a passion which was beachcombing together.  They had a lot of fun. She will truly be missed.... The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 12:00 Noon - 1:30 PM at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S. in Glen Burnie where services will be held immediately following the visitation.
