Obituary

Sadly, on September 16, 2021, Stephanie Michelle Scanlon, (nee' Atwood) went home to be with her Lord and Savior.  She was just 50.

Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Tom and the late Joann (nee' Figgs) Atwood.  "Steph" would live in upstate New York for a time , then Hamden where she would meet her dear husband William "Bill" Scanlon.  The couple would be togehter for 20 years and eventually settle in  Glen Burnie.

It was said, that If you knew Steph as a friend you are a lucky person.  She had a great personality and would light up a room when she entered it.  She was strong and supportive, honest and trustworthy and as smart as she was pretty.  "Bill," called her ,"his angel."  Steph was fun loving and lively;  she enjoyed travel, especially taking vacations to Disney....... and she loved to cook!  Known on facebook as "Chef Steph," she was amazing and talented in food preparation. People marveled and coveted the excellent meals Bill enjoyed.  Most importantly Steph was a believer in Jesus Christ for whom she had uncompromising faith.

Steph will be fondly remembered by  her mother and father-in-law Rita "Dee" and Ken Underwood and Billl, Sr. And Beverly Scanlon.   She will be sorely missed by her loving sisters Cheryl and Jennifer Atwood and her memory will be cherished by her nephews Brandon, Matt and Chuck.  Her beloved Mastiff, "Jovi" will miss her dear human.
