Shirley Ann Kaliszak, age 73, passed away on April 2, 2016.  She was the beloved wife of the late Adam Kaliszak, Sr., dear friend of Joe Sanda, loving mother of Adam Kaliszak, Jr., devoted sister of Paul, Mark and David Suit, Betty Jane Donnells, Eileen Suit and the late Charles A., Jr.  She also was the cherished grandmother of Matthew A. and Angelina Rose Kaliszak and "mom" to her loving dog, Jack the Schnauzer. Shirley was born in Baltimore in 1943.  She eventually moved from Lansdowne and resided in Glen Burnie for the past 40 years.  After graduating high school and having some college classes, she gained employment at the United States Postal Service where she held the position of  Safety Specialist and Manager before retiring after 26 years of service.  At the Pascal Center, she served as an event organizer.  Shirley was very involved in politics in AACO, MD State and nationally as well.  She held the position as the Republican Party President for District 32. She was also recognized by the Glen Burnie Rotary for her volunteer work in the community on her last birthday.  Among her many interests, Shirley enjoyed painting, crafting, ceramics and stamp collecting. She will truly be missed..... In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Shirley's honor to a veterans organization of your choice.
