Obituary

On August 16, 2019, Rose Marie Krause, (nee Cain), "Rose," passed after a brief illness.  She was in her eighty-fifth year of life.

The daughter of George D. Sr., and Marie E. (nee Berger) Cain, she was born and raised in South Baltimore.

Rose married Edwin Michael Krause in 1960 and together they settled in the Glen Burnie area in 1967 and raised their family.  During her working years, Rose worked for the State of Maryland at MAIF where she was an underwriter of insurance for 21 years.  She also worked as a bartender at Shirley's Pub until it's closing.

Among several interests, Rose enjoyed playing Keno, bingo and poker machines as well as watching the Game Show Network and her favorite program the Golden Girls.  She also took great pleasure in feeding the wild birds at her home and enjoyed their company.  Finally, Rose loved crabs, particularly number 1's which she enjoyed at many birthdays, mothers' days and other events and celebrations.

Rose is survived by her children, Michelle Taylor and husband Geno, Kelly Stinchcomb and spouse Paul and William Pohler and wife Donna.  Her son Michael Pohler precedes her in passing.  She is the sister of Cecilia Hynson and husband Will and William Cain, Jr., the last of eight.

Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren Crystal, Erin, Courtney, Katie, Paul and Michael, as well 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.  Rose joins her late grandson Joey in passing.
