IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosalyn "Lynn"
Killigrew
October 3, 2025
With tender hearts, we share the passing of Rosalyn "Lynn" Killigrew, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who left us on October 3, 2025. Lynn's radiant spirit and boundless love touched countless lives, and her legacy will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Killigrew; her parents, Frank and Ann Compese (Sparer); her brother, Joseph Compese; and her sister, Sylvia Compese.
Lynn and Bob built a beautiful life together, beginning in New York, Massachusetts, before making their home in Millersville, Maryland, in 1973. There, they lovingly raised their three children: Anne Cooper (Rick), Kevin Killigrew (Diane), and Karen Makris (Alain). Lynn's pride and joy extended to her two grandsons, Luke and Mark Makris, with whom she shared countless cherished moments.
For over 25 years, Lynn dedicated herself to Anne Arundel County Public Schools, serving at Rippling Woods, Park Elementary, and Richard Henry Lee Elementary. Her warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on her students, many of whom greeted her with joy and fond memories whenever their paths crossed. Lynn's presence was a gift, and her impact was felt wherever she went.
A passionate traveler, Lynn embraced retirement with adventures that took her from the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska to the vibrant shores of Australia, and many places in between. Her love for tennis kept her active well into her seventies, and she found delight in lively bridge and card games with friends. Lynn's adventurous spirit also led her to the dude ranch, where her love for horses blossomed. She enjoyed time spent with her sister in law Crystal Compese with whom she enjoyed a special bond.
Lynn had a special gift for making holidays magical. Her kitchen was a place of joy, where she crafted candy houses and traditional Italian fried cookies, traditions lovingly carried on by her children and grandchildren. These moments of togetherness were a testament to her nurturing heart.
Lynn's life will be celebrated on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Fink's Funeral Home, 426 Crain Highway, Glen Burnie, Maryland, at 3:00 p.m. The family warmly invites you to join them in honoring her remarkable legacy. Lynn's love, laughter, and kindness will forever resonate in the lives she touched, and she will be deeply missed by all.
