Ronald John Harrison, age 89, passed away on July 30, 2016.  He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Olive May (nee Burgess) and previous to the late and former Marcelina C. Venezia, dear father of Ronald P. Harrison and his wife, Janet, David J. Harrison and Melanie A. Green and Paul E. Callow, Sr. and his wife, Denise Marie and former wife Lynne Rea-Adams.  He was the dear brother of Bernard Harrison and his wife, Gail, Jillian "Buddy" Matilla and Myrna Harrison and late brother Bobby and surviving wife Mary and was also the devoted grandfather of Alice K. and Lucy R. Harrison, Samantha L. Appler, Nicola J. Stansbury, Paul E. Callow, Jr, Claire E., Jaiya N. and Alexa V. Callow, loving great grandfather of Morgan C. and Zachary T. Appler and Mia L. and Andre E. Shaw. He was also best friends with Jack Rolfe and the late Albert "Big Al" Zepp. Ronald was born in the London and  lived in Kent before moving to the United States in 1980 where he settled in Glen Burnie, Maryland.  He proudly served his country in the Royal Navy as a torpedoman and radarman aboard  the HMS Boxer and the HMS Thane.  He survived a torpedo attack while in the service during WWII. An interesting fact that Ronald experienced in his life was that his father, John, worked for Mr. Bentley of the Bentley Automobile Company in it's infancy.  Among his many interests, Ronald loved watching programs about the natural world. He was very well informed and liked watching the news.  He was a quick witted, quiet man and extremely hard working.  He opened his own business, Ocean Upholstery in Glen Burnie in 1984. He loved animals of all kinds and was patient and kind. He will truly be missed....
