On February 11, 2023, Robert Earl Phillips, Jr., passed at his residence.  He was 74.

Born the son of Robert E. Sr. and Anna Rose (nee Lowe) in Miami, Florida, he would come to settle in Glen Burnie for the balance of his years.

Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.    He would come home and find a career in the Telecommunications field working for C&P Telephone and Verizon and ultimately retiring from Lucent Technologies..  Following his retirement he joined with two partners to start up his  own Technology Company, CSI.

Robert grew up in a difficult childhood but this did not stop him from having such a joy for life and his crazy personality made him an outstanding, caring individual.  He had a love for animals and cared for numerous dogs during his lifetime and currently has an Alaskan Husky named "Buddy" who has been his companion, as well as an African Grey Parrot named Rosie.

Surviving Robert is his devoted wife of 54 years, Josephine Anne (nee Wagner), his beloved sons, Robert E. Phillips, III and wife Danielle and David A. Phillips and spouse Kelly Dennison.  He will be cherished in the memories of his granddaughters, Lindsey Hoffman and Tarrah Phillips and grandson Oliver Phillips.  He will be missed by his sisters, Donna Zentgraf and husband Thomas, Nancy Porter and spouse Robert, Sharon Zentgraf and Elanora Moss.  Robert joins in passing brothers-in-law Albert Zengraf, Steven Moss and Joseph Wagner.  His extended family consist of numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and nephews as well as an abundance of special friends and other family members.
