Richard Allen Beyer went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 25, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on June 10, 1946, Richard passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family, love, prayer, and music.
Richard fought esophageal cancer with incredible strength and courage. Even through his illness, he remained in good spirits and continued showing the goofy, silly personality that made so many people love him. He had a way of making people laugh, and his family will forever remember his humor, smile, and the joy he brought into every room.He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who cherished time spent with his family. Richard enjoyed bowling, trips to Ocean City, playing scratch-offs, watching wrestling, eating crabs, and especially enjoying sweets. Some of his family’s favorite memories with him were family dinners, vacations, roller coasters, cookouts, and simply laughing alongside him through life’s simple moments.Richard is survived by his loving daughter, Tracey Beyer Mekins and her husband Robert Mekins; his beloved grandchildren Chris Jones, Ariel Mekins, Candace Mekins and her fiancé Dillon Thomas, Tori Vital and her husband Matthew Vital, and Robby Mekins; his brother Steve Beyer and wife Maddy Beyer; sister-in-law Anna Beyer; along with many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa Beyer; his son, Ricky Beyer; his parents, Henry and Agnes Beyer; and his siblings John Beyer, Ralph Beyer, George Beyer, Sis Beyer, and Wayne Beyer.Richard’s family finds comfort in knowing he is reunited with his loved ones and resting peacefully in the presence of the Lord.Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
