On February 22, 2024, Nieves T. Gutierrez nee Tejada passed away in the presence of her loving family.  She was 81.

Born in Cuyo Palawan in the Philippines she was the daughter of Jose' and Consolacion (nee Acero) Tejada.

She received an excellent education and went on to complete a Bachelors of Science degree in Education.  She was an elementary school teacher for many years.  She also served as a nanny in a private capacity for a number of years.

Nieves came to the States in 1990 living for a time in Falls Church, Va. and ultimately settling in Glen Burnie a short time ago.

She loved oldies music and was particularly fond of gospel music.  Nieves was a hardworking homemaker and provider for her family as well as a dedicated believer in Jesus Christ.  It was said that she was a "good person and was so nice",  she was down to earth and was never angry over anything.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.

Surviving her is her dedicated husband of 30 years, Joel Delos Santos Gutierrez as well as her devoted children, Antoinette, Maria, Maritas, twins Roland and Ronald, Amadeo and Joseph Cabatuando.  She is reunited with her late son, Renado in passing.  Her memory will be cherished by numerous grand, great- grand and great -great grandchildren and many brothers, sisters and cousins.

She will be fondly remembered by her dear friends Ceny Hard, Ermie Dauuiaog and Nida Kim.
