On April 30 2019, the sun set on Maria A. Balancad and she went to be with the Lord.  She was 73.

Born in the Philippines, Maria came to the United States in the early 1980's as a newlywed with her dear (late) husband Eton B.  They were happily married for 18 years before his passing.

During her working years she was a medical records specialist with the State of Maryland since 1985.

Maria was a dedicated woman of faith and practiced and was a long time member of, Christ the King Catholic Church formerly Holy Trinity of Glen Burnie.  She loved to make things for the church and the church community and particularly focused on making rosaries with the Holy Trinity Guild.  Her interest also included knitting and crochet and Maria was a member of the Pascal Senior Center.

Maria  is know for being a loving and faithful wife, mother and a gracious "Lola" as known by her grandchildren.  Everyone who knows her agrees that she was an all around caregiver.

Surviving  Maria are her beloved sons, Alexander and Rommel-Eton, Jr., and his wife Michelle (nee McDonald.)  She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Sebastian McDonald Balancad, III, Rommel Eton McDonald Balancad III, Sunshine Little and Jennifer Ryan. One brother of 9 siblings survives her, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends and acquaintances.
