Obituary

Luby "Don" Cade, age 71, passed away on March 17, 2015.  He was the dear husband of Cynthia G. (nee Keefer), loving father of Chris Cade, Matt Lynch and Donna Cade, devoted grandfather of David and Caity O'Roark, Nohea, Caleb and Ava Lynch and Shelby Cade, beloved great grandfather of Hannah and Ceirra O'Roark, Lillian Baublitz and Ella Mae Boehm.  He was preceded in death by his siblings, the late Kathleen, Vivian, Ralph and Walter. Don was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina in 1943.  He moved to Brooklyn Park and from there settled in Glen Burnie where he resided for the past 24 years.  He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1964-1967 during the Vietnam war.  After his Honorable Discharge, be became a Baltimore City police officer.  From there, he was a tugboat captain at Bethlehem Steel. He was an ASE Certified Mechanic and earned his Gold Certificate for heavy equipment mechanics.  He retired as such. Don belonged to the American Legion Post # 34.  Among his hobbies, his motto was "blue jeans, tee shirt, country music and cold beer."  He also liked the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a lot of fun and will truly be missed. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 12:00  PM at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S. in Glen Burnie where services will immediately follow the visitation as will Military Honors.
