Louis August Spiegel, Jr., age 85, passed away on December 31, 2013.  He was the dear husband of Joan E. (nee Bennett), loving father of Louis III and wife, Kathryn, Steven L. and wife Cheryl, Karen L., Linda Thompson and husband Robert and Cheryl J. Thomas and husband Fred and brother of Barbara Dietrich.  He was the beloved grandfather of 5 and great grandfather of several great grandchildren. Louis was born in Baltimore on October 16, 1928.  He moved to Glen Burnie in 1978 and  worked as a printer for Columbia Paper Products.  He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, boating and camping and just being outdoors.  He loved to visit his daughter in Florida.  Louis made sure that while he and his wife were there they went to a restaurant that had "the best strawberry shortcake", which was his favorite dessert!  He was a Mason for the past 60 years and also belonged to Southwest Pleasure Club. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S. in Glen Burnie where a funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM.
