Deacon LeRoy William Beimel, Sr. of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, age 88, passed away on November 26, 2014.  He was the loving husband of 62 years of Queen Erba (nee Butler), devoted father of  Sharon Blankenship (deceased), Beth Ann, Michael Joseph and LeRoy William Beimel, Jr., Rose Marie Kathleen "Pixie" Lange, dear brother of Virginia Lecker, Arlene and the late Rita, devoted grandfather of Christina Blankenship, Sarah Lynn and Hannah Beimel and Amanda and T. J. Lange and 6 great grandchildren. LeRoy was born in St. Mary's, PA in 1926.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII as an E7 Criminal Investigator.  He retired after 21 years of service with 2 Letters of Commendation and 6 Good Conduct letters.  He then was employed by Pinkerton Security as a salesman for 9 years, before working for the State and Federal Government as an investigator. In 1975, LeRoy entered the Deaconate after a near death experience which changed his life forever.  He was the first ordained deacon at Holy Trinity.  He was a 4th degree Knight with Knights of Columbus and past Grand Knight of #3413 K. of C.  LeRoy enjoyed photography as a hobby.  He was well respected and loved in his community and was a dedicated father and husband. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 4, 2014 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S. in Glen Burnie.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 12:00 Noon at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
