Kathryn Rae Skiratko, age 94, passed away on September 21, 2014.  She was the dear wife of 30 years of the late Metro Skiratko, devoted mother of Donna Hausmann, Jean Wroten and Michael, Joseph and George Skiratko, beloved grandmother of 17, great grandmother of 21, great great grandmother of 7 and 1 great great great grandchild. Kathryn was born in Ashland, PA in 1920.  She proudly served her country as an Army WAAC/WAC.  She went to the William Jewell College of Nursing and later was employed by the Board of Education and worked in the Custodial Division. Her hobbies were bingo, crocheting, knitting and in her younger years, playing basketball.  She loved music and when she was in high school, she was in the Marching Band, then in college she was in the band.  She enjoyed playing the saxophone and the organ and was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles and the Ravens, but most of all, Kathryn loved spending time with her family. Kathryn was a compassionate and commendable woman and will truly be missed... The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 25, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S. in Glen Burnie where services will begin immediately after visitation.
