Obituary

Junior Lee Chapman, age 72, passed away on June 7, 2014.  He was the dear husband of Sharon M. (nee Blockinger) and the late Anne L., beloved father of Dave L. Chapman, Dawn J. Gostomski and husband, Brian, Patrick T. Sullivan, Chip D. Cockey and wife, Amy, and Rhonda M. Cockey, loving brother of Helen Moody and the late Charles G. Chapman, devoted grandfather of 11 grand and 10 great grandchildren. Junior was born in Gladesprings, VA.  His family moved to Baltimore when he was 9 years old.  He proudly served his country for 6 years in the US Army during the Vietnam War where he was stationed in Siagon in munitions transportation.  His job was to deliver munitions supplies to offshore Naval vessels. In 1972, Junior settled in Glen Burnie, MD.  He was a dedicated employee and held the position of supervisor in the warehouse of SZCO for 20 years. He had a creative nature and enjoyed building and restoring cars, liked syfy  movies and westerns and loved the Ravens.  He was a very compassionate man and would help people if he could, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S in glen Burnie, where services will be held on Thursday at 12:30 PM. Interment: Crownsville Veterans Cemetery
