Judson "Jud" Lee Poland, Sr., age 73, passed away on October 29, 2014.  He was the beloved husband of 53 years of Faye (nee Shorey), dear father of Charles R. Poland and the late Judson Lee Poland, Jr., devoted brother of Nancy Marcus, Linda Johnson, the late Charles Rice and step brother, Jimmy Louke and loving grandfather of Jessica M. and Justin M. Poland. Jud was born in Glen Rogers, West Virginia. He relocated to Glen Burnie over 60 years ago.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  After his tenure there he worked as a General Maintenance Manager for Unico Corp. before retiring in 2003.  He belonged to the American Legion Post 276, Elks Club 2266 and the Bodkin Yacht Club, all of which he was an active member.  He also enjoyed boating, fishing and he loved playing tennis.
