On April 14, 2026 Joseph C. Russo passed at the age of 78.

Born the son of Joseph and Virginia Russo in Baltimore he would spend his youth there, graduating from Patterson High School and then entering the United States Navy. Joe served honorably during the Vietnam War and was a crew member of the USS Yosemite, AD-19, a Destroyer supply ship. For his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Joe was very proud of his service in the Navy. Following his release from service he went to work for Westinghouse now Northrup Grumman, where he retired after 45 years.

In his leisure he enjoyed classic hot rods, owning his prized '57 Chevy sedan, liked listening to 50's music, playing billiards and collecting guns. He was a skilled craftsman and did home improvement applying his carpentry skills to custom cabinetry.

Joseph joins his beloved wife Helen (ne'e Cain 2026) in eternity after 60 years of marriage. He is survived by his dear daughter Lisa Breeden and his loving son Joseph Richard "Rick" Russo and wife Cynthia (ne'e Palmietto.) Joe is also reunited with his son Michael Patrick Russo who passed in 1976. He will be cherished in the memories of his beloved grandchildren Tyler, Ryan and Payton Russo, Shana Martin and husband Keith, Brittany Breeden and will be fondly remembered by his great-grandchildren Kierstyn Ambrose and Hayden, Abigail and Stella Martin. Joe is in the company of his late brother Christopher once more and his sister -in-law Cecilia Russo will miss him.  "Harley, "Joe's beloved dog will mourn his passing.
