Obituary

John Nelson Ingle, Jr. age 82, passed away on November 10, 2013.  He was the dear husband of Marjory "Margie" Mae (nee Stoltz), beloved father of Joann Knight and Jean Nelson, caring stepfather of Tommy Harding, Steven Gough, Vicki Anderson, Denise Stasouli, Robyn Stokes, Margie Tappa and Allyson Clark, devoted brother of Richard, Robert and the late Preston Ingle, Frances, Doris and Joyce Ingle and the late Evelyn and Virginia and dedicated grandfather of 12 grand and 8 great grandchildren as well as uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. John proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He was a member of Delmont Methodist Church in Severn.  He hosted St. Patrick's Day dinners at the church and was a very charitable, giving man.  Being a member of the Carpenters and Locksmiths Union, he was employed by the University of Maryland Medical Center and was recognized for his dedicated service of 29 years.  John was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Cockysville and the American Legion, Post 40, where he was Past Post Commander 3 times and past Vice President as well.  He also volunteered and raised money for the Special Olympics.  He truly understood the many needs of the community and helped whenever possible. Some of John's interests included woodworking and carpentry and made various things for his family.  He enjoyed working in the yard and fishing; especially for rock fish, loved the Baltimore Ravens but most of all spending time with his family. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S at 5th Ave. in Glen Burnie where services will be held Friday at 9:30 AM.
