John H. Holsey, age 79, passed away on July 15, 2013.  He was the dear husband of 59 years of Carol Ann (nee Davies), beloved father of John "Keith" and wife, Debbie and Gregory B. and his wife Elizabeth, and beloved grandfather of Kelly, Brian, William and Nathan Holsey. John was born in Baltimore. He graduated from Clavert Hall High School in 1952 and eventually moved to Glen Burnie where he lived for 56 years. He was employed by Monumental Life Insurance Company for 33 years before retiring. He bravely served his country during the Korean War era in the US Army as a company clerk. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 40 in the past as Chaplain.  He enjoyed hunting and bagged a 150 inch 8 point buck in Somerset.  He also liked fishing and tried to go at least once per week.  He was truly an avid outdoors man. He loved the Baltimore Colts and was a great Orioles fan as well. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 21, 2013 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S. @ 5th Ave. in Glen Burnie where services will be held on Monday, July 22 @ 10:30 AM. Interment: Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
