Obituary

Joe Dale LaFon II, known to those who loved him as "Casey," was born in Annapolis, Maryland on February 12, 1965. He is preceded in death by his beloved son Corey, and survived by his children Joe LaFon III (Joey) and Joshua LaFon, granddaughter Eevee, along with his father Joe LaFon and his wife Sandy, mother Nancy Barnett, and sisters Barbara Nixon and Karen Hoffman.

Casey graduated from Glen Burnie High School and went on to become a master carpenter. Casey was an accomplished self-taught musician and loved playing his guitar for family and friends. He was an avid fisherman, and an animal lover who rescued animals throughout his life from snakes, turltes and even a couple of baby squirrels. His latest project was creating an 'indigenous Chesapeake Bay aquarium.'

He was a great friend to all and had a wonderful sense of humor and love of history. He shared openly about his faith in Jesus Christ, posting on Facebook about trusting Jesus and "Don't be afraid...just have faith." Mark 5:36.
