Joanna Shirley Pompanio (nee Timlin), age 87, passed away on February 10, 2018.  She was the dear wife of over 40 years to the late Bobbie Pompanio, beloved mother of Louis Pompanio and his partner, Matthew Welborn, Shirley Bratt and her husband, Gary, Stella McKean and her husband, Donald, Jr. and the late Brian Pompanio,  the late Theresa Vineyard and her husband, the late Sonny.  She was the loving sister of Craig Timlin and was preceded in death by 6 other brothers and 1 sister.  Joanna was the cherished grandmother of Anthony and Katherine Bratt, Donald McKean, III, Bryant McKean and his wife, Jovonna, Simmie and Judy Pompanio and the late Bobbie Pompanio, and devoted great grandmother of Naomi McKean. Joanna was born in Erie, PA in 1930.  She resided in Anne Arundel County for 65 years and was employed by Maryland State Government as a data librarian. Among her many interests, Joanna enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting, and especially took great pride in her cooking, but more than anything she loved spending time with her family. She touched many lives and will truly be missed......
