IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jewell (Dalton)
Thompson
November 30, 1927 – November 30, 2020
Jewell Mae (Dalton) Thompson born February 6, 1928 to Joseph Samuel Dalton and Virginia Beatrice McDaniel in Martinsville, Virginia. In 1940 Sam, Bea and five siblings moved to Baltimore, MD where they set up home. Jewell met Arthur (Otts) Thompson the love of her life in 1946. They married October 17, 1946 and had two girls, Sandra Marie and Lisa Virginia. Jewell and Otts bought a modest home in Glen Burnie in 1954 where they raised their girls and the home is still in the family till this day. They were fun and frugal, very southern when it came to family and friends, full of hospitality serving great southern dishes with lively music and dancing. Weekends were the best at the home of Otts and Jewell! In their later years they celebrated everyday going out and having lunch, movies or. shopping at second hand stores, Sundays included the Moose Lodge with friends dining and dancing, enjoying life and loving each other dearly. Most of all they loved their Grandchildren. Jewell is survived by her daughters Sandra Marie Iman and Lisa Taylor, grandchildren Priscilla Iman Block, Nick Taylor and Samantha Taylor. Sister Peggy Schroeder and Great grandchildren Zayden Block and Bentley Block. Loving angel nieces Linda Pizarro and Kelly Shipley who deserves praise and honor as they cared for Jewell in her later years, we humbly thank you both. In lieu of flowers please Play it Forward and do acts of kindness for someone.
