IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeffrey
Marble
August 4, 1966 – April 19, 2022
Jeffrey Lee Marble passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 19, 2022 in Glen Burnie, Maryland, after his courageous battle with a prolonged illness. Jeffrey (Jeffrey Lee/Jeff to those who knew him and loved him) was born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 4, 1966. Jeff graduated from Bowie High School in 1984 and from Salisbury State University with a BA in Social Sciences in May of 1990. While at Salisbury State University he was inducted into both the Eta Iota Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta a National Honor Society in History and Pi Gamma Mu an International Honor Society in the Social Sciences. Jeff also participated intramural indoor hockey and volunteered with Maryland Wheel Chair Games during his college years. Jeff's lifelong passion was law enforcement (this facilitated in no small way by his love of Clint Eastwood movies and the series Gunsmoke). Jeff graduated from the Prince George's Municipal Police Academy on April 6, 1995. After working as a police officer with the city of Takoma Park Maryland, he joined the Anne Arundel County Police Department and during this time he met and married the love of his life Cathy Marble on October 9, 2004. Cathy remained his devoted wife until his passing. Cathy and Jeff resided in Edgewater, Maryland where he retired from the Anne Arundel County Police Department before moving to Glen Burnie, Maryland in 2021. Jeff touched the lives of those who knew him with his wild sense of humor, ability to tell insanely funny stories, and his habit of dropping everything he was doing to help a friend in need. He shared his passion for muscle cars, motorcycles, ocean city trips, sports memorabilia, and fishing trips with those lucky enough to be counted among his friends. He is remembered as a great and loyal friend, brother, son, and husband. Stevie Ray Vaughn and ZZ Top songs will always invoke fond memories of Jeffrey Lee. Jeff was proceeded in death by his father Thomas Marble, Jr. and his mother Kathryn Marble. He leaves behind a life time of love and memories in his loving wife Cathy Marble, his sister Kimberly Marble Mead, his brother in-law Todd Mead, his step daughters Summer Hoder and Lindsay Whittington, and countless life-long friends.
