Jean Marie Whitehead (nee Merrill), age 90, passed away on February 18, 2014.  She was the dear wife of the late Lawrence M. Whitehead II, beloved mother of Lawrence M. III and James I. Whitehead and Joyce Reals, loving sister of Betty Habicht and the late Mary Beatty and Grace Wagner, caring grandmother of James, Paul and John Reals and great grandmother of James, Jr., Jacob and Joshua Reals. Jean lived in Anne Arundel County for most of her life.  She was a USO volunteer and that's where she met her husband, Lawrence II.  She was employed by Harbor Hospital and worked as a nursing assistant for 23 years before retiring.  She loved her work and is sorely missed by her coworkers. She enjoyed cross stitching, embroidering, watching old movies, cooking and even playing marbles. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 24, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S. in Glen Burnie where services  will be held immediately following the visitation. Interment:  Glen Haven Cemetery
