Jackie Ray Hinkle, age 66, passed away on August 13, 2015. He was the dear son of Loretta (nee McClung) and the late Ellsworth Hinkle, beloved husband of Lydia D. (nee Steiner), devoted father of of Charles and Angela Hinkle, loving brother of Phillip, Ricky and Danielle Hinkle and Patty Bertling and her husband, Brian, cherished grandfather of 5 and uncle of 1 nephew.
Jack was born in Ridgewood, West Virginia. He relocated to Glen Burnie in 1953. In 1976, he married the love of his life, Lydia. He was employeed by Westinghouse where he worked as an HVAC mechanic before retiring after 30 years of service. He loved his work and was exceptional at his job.
Among his many interests, Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, having cookouts, and vacationing in Ocean City. He was a "people person" and a man of great intergity. He liked having conversations with family, friends and neighbors, helping in whatever way he could if someone was in need, but most of all, Jack loved spending time with his family, especially his nephew and grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S. in Glen Burnie, where services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM.
