Hilda "Tillie" Stella Freund (nee Marinkovits), age 86, passed away on July 23, 2015.  She was the devoted wife of the late Milton Chesney Freund, dear mother of Michaela M. Kirby, Gale Lynn King and her husband Michael, loving sister of Helen Handwerk and Walter Marinkovits, beloved grandmother of Paula L. Shepherd and her husband, Nikolas, Sarah E. Smith and her husband, Brett and Michael J. King and beloved great grandmother of Mikaela and Abram Franz and Griffin Shepherd.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Gustave Marinkovits and Hedwig Marakovits, her siblings, Florence Sommers, Agnes Drauch, Edward Marinkovits and John Marinkovits great granddaughter, Faith Franz. Tillie was born in Coplay Township, PA. After graduating from high school, she got her 2 year nursing degree at City College as an LPN.  She was employed by Franklin Square Hospital for 25 years before retiring in 1989.  She was a member of the International Police Association, Fraternal Order of Police, Ferndale Road Runners, Harbor Hikers, Burwood Senior Center and Ferndale UMC. She will truly be missed.... Among her many interests, Tillie liked reading, walking and ceramics, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 27, 2015, from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S., Glen Burnie, MD 21061, where services will be held on Tuesday at 10:15 AM.
