Henry Edmond Dietz, age 82, passed away on June 21, 2014.  He was the dear husband of 58 years of Anna Cecelia (nee Carini), loving father of Patrick E. Dietz and his wife, Lisa M. and Denise C. McElroy and her husband, Matthew A., devoted grandfather (Pop Pop) of Morgan A. Dietz, caring brother of Bernice Jones and the late Evelyn Noyes, dedicated uncle of many nieces and nephews and beloved Pop Pop to his grandpuppies, Maggie Mae and Mickey Mouse, and great grandpuppy, Khloe. Henry was born in Baltimore in 1931.  He graduated from Poly Tech in 1951 and from there, proudly served his country in the US Army as a welder in 1952 and worked his way up to Staff Sergeant  by 1954.  After that, Henry joined the Baltimore City Police Force.  He served from 1962 - 1990 when he retired. He belonged to the Ferndale Community Club, American Legion Post 40 and Ferndale Seniors as a Charter Member.  Henry enjoyed woodworking, handcrafting furniture and other projects around the house.  Henry and Cecelia also liked camping, traveling to Canada, New York, Florida and other destinations. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Fink Funeral Home, P.A., 426 Crain Hwy S. in Glen Burnie where services will be held on Thursday at Noon. Interment: Lakeview Cemetery.
