It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gordon Peek.  He was born on January 29, 1935, in Madison, North Carolina, the son of the late Jesse Fred and Ceila Peek. Through his journey of 90 years, he touched many lives with his wisdom, humor, and selflessness.

Gordon served his country in the United States Army and then transitioned to a long and meritorious career with the United States Government. As an engineer there was nothing that he could not do or fix. His skills along with his kindness and generosity made him always ready to help anyone that needed a hand. He had an amazing life and traveled to various places in the world with work. He and his wife also made many wonderful memories and great friends while living overseas.

He is preceded in death by his two brothers Jesse and Vaughn and sister Texie VanDevender all of Virginia.

Gordon is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years Alice Catharine, and his daughter Alice.

He is also survived by his sisters Doris Shelbourne (Virginia) and Nita Reinhart (California) and a brother-in-law Charles Garland (Virginia)

A service will be held at the Crownsville Veterans Cemetery at a date TBD.
