Parker, Geoffrey K. Sr. – US Army SFC Retired Passed from this life on November 10th, 2017 at the James A. Haley VA Medical Center in Tampa Florida, at the age of 92. He leaves behind his four children, Jennifer Parker, Sharon Hepburn, Geoffrey K. Parker Jr, (Barbara) and Cheryl Nelson (Gary). He also leaves behind, eight grandchildren and is predeceased by one grandchild, his great-grandchildren and his great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Laverne. He was a veteran of WW II, where he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with V, Korea and Vietnam. In total he was awarded seventeen medals. He was also a Mason, for over 50 years, and a Shriner. He was a member of the De Soto Lodge #105 in Riverview, Florida. He loved to travel and had a quick wit and an incredible sense of humor and never ceased to make people laugh. But most of all he loved his family and loved to hear of their accomplishments at work, school, in sports or whatever activity they took part in. He was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.
