Gayle Nadine Jenkins, age 63, passed away on November 11, 2014.  She was the  dear daughter of Florence (nee Gaither) and the late Lester Hayes, the devoted wife of Micheal E. Jenkins, beloved mother of Stephen W.  and his wife, Tiffani J., Ebony F. and Alyse N. Vines, loving sister of the late William L. Hayes and his wife, Carolyn and devoted grandmother of Joius G., William J. and Rion C. Jenkins. Gayle was born and raised in Severn and later relocated to Glen Burnie where she lived for 27 years.  She earned her Bachelors degree at Morgan State University and her Masters of Education from Loyola College.  She was employed by the Anne Arundel Co. Public School System for 30 years until retiring in 2006.  She loved singing and was a member of the Morgan State Choir and then eventually the MSU Choir Alumni.  She also belonged to the Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County and the AACO Retired Teachers Association.  Gayle was a very spiritual person and dedicated her life to the Lord.  She was part of the Worship Team at her church, Calvary Chapel International worship Center.  She was an "unofficial" life coach and was very involved with helping others.  She was a spiritual mother to so many. She was a big Ravens fan and enjoyed cheering them on. She touched a lot of lives and will truly be missed. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Calvary Chapel International Worship Center, 8064 New Cut RD, Severn, MD 21144, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM where services will be held immediately following the visitation. The funeral procession will be held at the Church on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 10:00 AM and interment will take place at Maryland National Memorial Cemetery, 13300 Baltimore Ave. in Laurel, MD at 11:00 AM.
