Gail Lee Sickle, age 69, passed away on May 1, 2024 following a protracted illness.
Born the daughter of Charles W., Jr and Helen L (nee' Curtain) Lauf, in Baltimore she would be a lifelong resident of the Glen Burnie- Ferndale area. Gail is a 1973 graduate of Southern High School. Following graduation she was a homemaker raising her two devoted children and keeping a home for her husband. When her children came of age she took work outside of the home and had a career of 20 years in banking. She then retired to keep home again and cared for her loving grandchildren.
Gail loved to travel and visited such places as Alaska, Hawaii, Bermuda and the Caribbean as well as Florida. She was a member of the Violetville Methodist Church where she was past treasure of the Methodist Women and recently attended Lighthouse Church in Glen Burnie. Her interest were her kids and grandkids; she was truly passionate about her Lord, family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of 50 years to William P. Sickle, Jr. (Bill), dear mother of Brad Sickle and his wife Maggie Madero and Brandy Miller, loving sister of Paul Lauf and his wife Tina, Alvin Lauf, Patricia Vankirk, Margaret Higdon and her husband, Perry, Terry Grewe and the late Charles Lauf, III and best friend to Gail Burch. She was the devoted grandmother of Katarina "Kat" Sickle and fiance' Damian Harris, Reece Sickle, Mara Madero, Morgan Madero-Sickle and Brittany Miller. She will be cherished in the memories of her beloved great grandchildren, Jonathan and Theodore Schember.
