On January 24, 2023, Eugene P. Drinkard, Sr. passed at the age of 89.

Born the son of Edward C. and Olive (nee McGowan) in Baltimore he would come to spend his years in Glen Burnie.

Eugene, a proud veteran of the United States Navy  during the Korean War, served with the "Sundowners" VF- 111, as an Airman Machinist Mate 3rd Class.

Following the war he worked for BGE for 37 years  retiring as a Service Technician.  Eugene was a really hard worker who was always there when you needed him.  He enjoyed television , fishing, bowling and being with family and is a former Past President for the Marley Area Little League.

Eugene joins his dear wife Frances "Fran" (nee Latorre) (2021) and his beloved son Sebastian X. Slade in passing.  Surviving him are his loving daughter Wanda L. Brown and devoted sons Eugene P. Jr. and Robert E. Drinkard as well as his cherished step-sons, Michael J., Joseph R., Vincent M. and Joseph "Gil" Gadow.  He will be fondly remembered by many grand and great-grandchildren who deeply loved him.

Eugene is reunited with his sister  Mary  E. Miller and brother Irwin Drinkard in death.
