On July 7, 2026, Emily Faye Reddinger, "Faye", passed after a full life of 90 years.
She was born the daughter of Sherman L. and Emily E. (ne'e O'Brien ) Green in Baltimore and would spend her early years in Brooklyn. Faye would eventually settle in Woodlawn where she resided until her later years when she retired to Bowie.
Faye is a graduate of Eastern High School and continued her education in college earning a degree in religious studies. She married Maurice M. Reddinger and raised a family. The two lived happily for over fifty years before Maurice's passing in 2006. For a time she worked as a substitute teacher but ultimately was called to serve in ministry as an Associate Pastor in the Methodist Church. Faye enjoyed travel abroad and visited Russia and Isreal several times. She was dedicated to her religious journey and the church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Surviving Faye are her beloved sons Sherman W. Reddinger and wife Janice D. (ne'e Armiger) and Maury A. Reddinger and wife Linda E. Her legacy continues with her 8 grandchildren and she will be cherished in the memories of 25 great-grandchildren. Faye is united in passing with 2 beloved grandchildren.
