Obituary

Sadly, on March 31, 2025, Earl "Craig" Charles passed at the age of 72.

Born the son of Earl and Eunice (ne'e Smith) in Kentucky, the family would move to Indiana where Craig would spend his youth.  During the Vietnam war, Craig was drafted into the armed services but volunteered to join the United States Marine Corps.  He served honorably as a sniper and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal.  He was very proud of being a Marine and was dedicated to upholding the Constitution whenever the call may come;  Once a Marine, always a Marine.  After his service he worked as a retail Manager for the Bombay Company in Florida for 50 years.

Craig was very knowledgeable about muscle cars and collected miniature versions which he would detail the interiors of to a high degree of realism.

Surviving him is his devoted fiance' and long time partner of 21 years, Michele Helfer as well as a son Christopher Charles and wife Brandy and his step-daughter Amanda Insixiengmy and husband Edwin.  He will be missed by his loving sister-in-law Lisa Fristrom and husband Robert, beloved grandchildren Ryan Christopher, Carter Nathaniel and Reece Charles and dear great-grandchildren Charlotte Faye Charles, Aijah Morales, Kayden Fristrom, and Angel, Kaylynn and Summer Lynn Cartagena twin of the late River Lynn.  He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
