IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dorothy L
(Mckenzie) Klosterman
July 3, 1925 – February 25, 2020
On February 25, 2020, Dorothy Klosterman, (nee McKenzie) passed surrounded by her loving family. She was 94.
Born to James W. and Hannah E. (nee Wright) in Eckhart, Maryland, one of 11 siblings, she would spend her youth in Allegany County.
In 1958 Dorothy would come to settle in the Brooklyn Park area with her husband, Daniel E. Klosterman, Sr. , eventually living in Linthicum Heights. Here they would settle down and raise a family. They were married for 51 years at the time of Daniels' passing and Dorothy would not remarry. She considered her marriage bond unbroken even in death.
Dorothy was a homemaker and a working woman. She worked outside of the home in the offices of Echo Products, finally retiring after 18 years. Throughout this time she enjoyed accompanying her husband on many trips, a number of which were centered around the conventions for Daniel's union. She was a person of faith and belonged to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church since 1960. In her leisure time, Dorothy was a researcher into the family lineage and became the "Klosterman Genealogist."
Dorothy is survived by her dear daughter, Beverly A. Sass and husband Leonard, J. Jr., her loving sons, Daniel E. Jr., and wife Joann and Dennis P. and spouse Donna Maddrey. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren, Deanna Lynn Klosterman, Mark S. Klosterman, Leonard J. Sass, III, Michael Sass, Sandy DeVore, Dennis Klosterman, Jr., Lisa M. Cavin, Diana Haberkorn and Melannie A.
