Doreather Alford, age 87, passed away on December 19, 2012.  Her parents were the late Louise and Benjamin Dawkins (stepfather).  She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Alford. Doreather's legacy includes five children, Henrietta Walker, Louise Blanding, Mary Ann Fore (deceased), Joe Louis Monroe (deceased) and Trent Caruso. She was also the beloved grandmother of Randy McDaniel, Larry McDaniel (deceased),Walter McDaniel, LaTonya Ingram, Ronald Blanding, Jr., Stephany and Sabrina Satchel, Sophia Gregg, Myioshi Gubbings, Steven and Anush Nance, 8 grand and 12 great grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and a love for life, and she enjoyed cooking and shopping. Doreather was a long time resident of the Washington, DC area where she worked in the hotel and hospitality industry for many years.  Due to illness, she relocated to Glen Burnie, MD.
