Catherine Florence Joslin (nee Beatty), age 86, passed away January 31, 2015. She was the devoted wife of 45 years of the late John A. Joslin, Jr., beloved mother of John A. Joslin, III and Kitty Handschuh, dear sister of Thelma Collins, Marie Young and the late Harry and Charles Beatty and Eleanore Mahoney.
Catherine was born in Baltimore, MD, but resided in Glen Burnie for most of her life. She graduated from Glen Burnie High School and became a Teacher's Aid for Anne Arundel Public Schools at Sunset Elementary School for 20 years. She enjoyed snorkeling and relaxing in the sun with her daughter in Bonaire, boating, swimming, exercising and she had fun going to the beach. She was very people oriented and liked to work with children. Catherine also volunteered at the donkey sanctuary and taught English to the local children in Bonaire, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 9:30-11:30 AM at Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S. in Glen Burnie, where services will be held immediately following the visitation.
